Nissan has plans to expand the range of engines for automobiles family Z next generation.

As applicants are considered Daimler diesel engines and even a hybrid propulsion system of the sedan Mercedes-Benz S 400 Hybrid, which the German company will provide Nissan in an alliance concluded between the two manufacturers.

In the hybrid Mercedes-Benz S-Class used power plant, which includes six-cylinder petrol engine volume 3.5 liters and power 279 horsepower and a 20-horsepower electric motor that helps the car during acceleration, and acts as a generator during braking.



In addition, the applicant for the installation of a new sports car Nissan Z series is another hybrid plant, which will soon become offered for Mercedes-Benz E-Class. It includes a 2.2-liter four-cylinder diesel engine and electric motor the same as that of the S 400 Hybrid.

Also, Nissan is considering the installation on this model is a three-liter diesel V6 from Mercedes-Benz E350 CDI, or six-cylinder power unit of its own production.

Currently, a model Nissan 370Z is equipped with 3.7-liter six-cylinder petrol engine weather capacity of 330 horsepower.

Note that in accordance with an agreement on cooperation between Renault-Nissan Alliance and concern Daimler, the German four-and six-cylinder petrol and diesel engines will be used to model the premium brand Nissan – Infiniti.
